Stefanie Grant

Stefanie worked with Amnesty International, as Head of the international Research Department in London, and as Director of Amnesty’s US office in Washington DC. She then practised as a solicitor, specialising in migration, refugee and human rights law, at the Immigration Advisory Service, at Baker and McKenzie, and as a partner at Bindmans. She later headed the research branch of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, and was a consultant on migrants’ rights to the Global Commission on International Migration, and to the Council of Europe. She has been a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Sussex Centre for Migration Research, and at LSE’s Human Rights Centre, working on migrant and refugee deaths at sea and issues of identification. She is Chair of the Board of the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion, and a trustee of Independent Diplomat.
