Why statelessness matters

Statelessness is a hidden issue. Millions of people cross the globe are denied basic rights because they lack a nationality. More than 500,000 stateless people in Europe, including children, face destitution, barriers to education and healthcare.

We are a pan‑European civil society alliance fighting to end statelessness in the region. We do that through law and policy development, awareness raising and community engagement.
