25 February 2026 12:30 - 13:15 CET

On 25th February we held our annual webinar providing a state of play on statelessness in Europe and an opportunity to learn about the latest law and policy developments.

In conversation with experts working in different countries and community members with lived experience, we presented our annual assessment of key trends on statelessness in Europe.

We also presented an analysis of statelessness in Armenia, following its addition to the Statelessness Index last month, and shared updated data for several other countries.

About our StatelessnessINDEX

Our StatelessnessINDEX is a tool for civil society, decision-makers, researchers, the media, stateless people and others to quickly understand which areas of law and policy can be improved by European countries, and where we can look to for examples of good practice in addressing statelessness.

Launched in 2018, the Index now holds comparative data and analysis for 35 countries. With over 12,000 users in 2025 it continues to be an essential tool for raising awareness and focusing advocacy needed to end the cycle of statelessness in Europe.
