Our submission provides detailed information on recent measures taken by Belarusian authorities that enable the arbitrary deprivation of Belarusian nationality and restrict Belarusian nationals from accessing consular services abroad. These measures are generating heightened risks of statelessness, particularly for political dissidents, and serve as a tool of repression.

In addition to outlining these concerns, our submission includes specific recommendations for stakeholders to mitigate the risks of statelessness and protect those affected.
