To celebrate Pro Bono Week 2023, this video showcases the impactful contributions of our pro bono partners in the fight against statelessness in Europe.
The pro bono support provided by our partners encompasses vital research to develop legal briefings and information tools, as well as support for direct and third-party litigation across Europe.
The Statelessness Case Law Database contains nearly 300 case summaries relevant to statelessness and is an invaluable resource for lawyers litigating on behalf of stateless people. A key pillar of ENS’ strategy to increase the capacity and expertise of lawyers, the database helps bring about real change to the lives of stateless people by supporting strategic litigation and other work to hold governments to account.
This database would not be possible without the dedicated support of our pro bono partners and members. Specifically, we want to recognise the generous support of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, Fragomen, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Herbert Smith Freehills, Hogan Lovells, Norton Rose Fulbright, and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
